French President Emmanuel Macron and Chinese President Xi Jinping have marked a milestone by releasing a joint declaration on agricultural trade and cooperation. This declaration marks a significant step forward in agricultural relations between the two nations. Among the agreements reached by Marc Fesneau, the French Minister of Agriculture, and Yu Jinhua, the Chinese Minister responsible for the General Administration of Customs, is the agreement to open the Chinese market to French white pig offal and processed pork proteins. Furthermore, a zoning agreement has been implemented to handle situations of highly pathogenic avian influenza. France remains diligent to ensure the complete lifting of the BSE embargo, necessary for the access of its beef products to the Chinese market.
