The French government has allocated a budget of €2 million to enhance prevention measures against African Swine Fever (ASF). The National Association for Swine Health (ANSP) will be tasked with training 600 auditors and conducting 3,000 audits of pigs and wild animals. The first audits will be conducted from January 2025, with a focus on small farms that have not yet undergone similar audits. Any farm that has sold less than a thousand pigs in 2023, as well as all wild boar farms, are eligible for this audit, with veterinarians working on these farms to be informed of the audit procedures and training in conducting these audits.
