FranceAgriMer has lowered its forecast for French soft wheat exports outside the EU for the current season to 3.5 million metric tonnes, the lowest since the 2000/01 season, due to weak demand from North Africa and China, poor harvest, mixed grain quality, and strong competition from Russia. The bureau also increased its forecast for French soft wheat shipments to the EU to 6.16 million tonnes. Additionally, FranceAgriMer raised its forecast for end-of-season wheat stocks to 2.87 million tonnes, and increased its outlook for French corn stocks at the end of 2024/25 to 2.68 million tonnes.
