400,000 kilos of peach pulp from San Rafael to be exported to Brazil

Some 400,000 kilos of peach pulp made in the Pulpera Municipal de San Rafael - an enterprise of the Mendoza commune and cooperatives in the area - will be exported to Brazil, in the middle of a new processing season that ended with a production of 3.5 million kilos, almost double that of last year. The local mayor, Emir Félix, said that "San Pablo, one of the most important cities in the world, will be the destination of a product of excellent quality, originating in farms in our southern region of Mendoza." The Pulpera de San Rafael, built with state funds, began with its first pulp production in 2017 and since then the producers grouped in the Cooperatives La Línea and Fruderpa, which are part of the association together with the municipality, have a place where they can develop its production and thus find greater profitability.
