During a state visit to China, a signing ceremony was held to approve protocols for the export of fresh coconuts, frozen durians, and crocodiles, marking a significant advancement in agricultural trade relations between China and Vietnam. The protocols address inspection, quarantine, and food safety requirements for these products. The export of frozen durians, in particular, is anticipated to generate up to 400-500 million USD in 2024, while fresh coconut exports could reach 200-300 million USD in the same year. The opening of the Chinese market to crocodile products is expected to provide substantial opportunities for the Vietnamese crocodile farming industry.
