The 2023/24 fruit export season concluded in August, marking a 10% increase in revenue from the previous year, with a total of $9.07 billion FOB. The majority of the exports, 74.6%, were fresh fruit, primarily to China. Cherries were the most exported fresh fruit, followed by grapes, with the United States as the leading market. Grapes saw the highest growth in export value. Avocado also saw a significant increase in value. Nut exports, however, experienced a decline in both value and volume, despite an increase in unit price for walnuts, hazelnuts, and almonds.
