The Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) and Frutas de Chile have successfully advanced discussions with Mexican authorities, including Senasica, to approve the Systems Approach for exporting fresh grapes and kiwis from Chile to Mexico. This approach, already approved for export to the United States, is expected to increase export confidence and quality control. The meetings also addressed the export of oranges under the same approach as other Chilean citrus fruits, improved avocado export programs, and shipments of irradiated mangoes from fruit fly-free areas. Additionally, collaborations with Customs in Guadalajara were established to facilitate sea/air shipments of Chilean cherries to China. These developments aim to enhance Chile's fresh fruit export competitiveness.
