The Ministry of Food and Agriculture’s Food System Resilience Programme (MoFA-FSRP) in Ghana aims to modernize irrigation schemes to support year-round farming of key crops like rice, maize, soya, and tomatoes. Coordinated by Osei Owusu Agyeman, the program addresses land ownership issues and includes investments in agricultural laboratories. Funded by the World Bank and promoted by ECOWAS, the FSRP seeks to enhance food system risk management and agricultural sustainability in West Africa, with participation from countries including Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Chad, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
