The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is set to publish new standards for bread and beer in the next few months. Beer brands will be required to indicate the calorie count per bottle, while bread manufacturers can only use terms like 'multigrain,' 'whole wheat,' or 'brown' bread if the product meets certain grain content thresholds. The FSSAI has also signed MoUs with several states to enhance food safety and security, and has designated four police stations in the New Delhi region as 'Eat Right Campus' as part of its 'Eat Right India' initiative.
