(Chuncheon=Yonhap News) Reporter Yang Ji-woong = Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Technology Institute announced on the 27th that it received the Silver Award (Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award) at the 2025 Republic of Korea Food Life Education Awards ceremony held recently at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul.
The Korean Food Life Education Association selected the Rural Resources Division of the Institute as the award-winning organization after a primary document review and a secondary presentation review.
The Gangwon Agricultural Technology Institute has operated programs for all generations tailored education and expanding local food ingredient consumption under the theme "Walking with food value, connecting generations and regions" for the past five years.
It received the award for its contributions to forming correct eating habits, encouraging valuable consumption participation, and laying the foundation for national health improvement and regional agricultural revitalization.
Park Mi-jin, head of the Rural Resources Division, said, "This award is the result of efforts to spread a healthy food life culture that all generations participate in" and "Going forward, we will continue to contribute to national health improvement and regional agricultural revitalization through education that connects regions and generations."
