The Director General of Plantations at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), Andi Nur Alam Syah, expressed this concern at the International Ganoderma Symposium in Bandung, which was organized by Plantation Media, the Association of Indonesian Plantation Professional Practitioners, and BPDPKS. This disease haunts smallholder plantations throughout Indonesia, reaching 46,767 hectares, especially in Sumatra with an area of 34,000 hectares which has entered its fifth generation.
