Georgia's 2024 wheat harvest is projected to reach a record 180 thousand tons, a 20% increase from 2023, with yields per hectare expected to surpass 3 tons for the first time in recent years. To support farmers, the state has provided new combines and preferential loans for crop cultivation and grain storage infrastructure. Additionally, a tax has been imposed on wheat flour imports to protect local wheat and increase its competitiveness in the local market.
