Dutch chip factories have seen a 9% increase in the import of chips potatoes, mainly from Germany, with a total of 1.2 million tonnes processed from July to October, a 4.6% decrease from the previous year. Domestic supply of Dutch potatoes has decreased by 16%, leading to market pressure with regular supply issues. Despite this, prices have slightly increased at the Goes and Emmeloord stock exchanges, with the Belgian chip potato quotation remaining steady at 12.50 euros per 100 kilos. German prices have also increased for Fontane and Challenger varieties, with Agria and Innovators seeing a 2 euro increase, reaching 23 euros per 100 kilos.
