Supplies of rapeseed oil from Germany increased again in the 2022/23 marketing year after a significant fall in the previous year. Last season, the country exported just under 1.3 million tons of rapeseed oil, 19% more than in the previous season.
The Netherlands was the largest recipient of rapeseed oil from Germany in 2022/23 with 710,400 tonnes, albeit for the purpose of global re-export. In the previous season, exports to the Netherlands were just under 19% lower. Belgium ranks second with 110,800 tons. The Kingdom received approximately 28% more than in MY 2021/22. This is followed by Denmark, France and Norway as important destinations. France purchased around 58,400 tonnes (-10%) and thus also remained an important market, while around 72,100 tonnes were exported to Denmark (+12%).
