According to the TCDA, the above price applies to raw cashew nuts meeting the following quality standards: - Kernel recovery ratio (KOR): 46 - Number of nuts: 190 nuts/kg - Moisture content: not more than 10% The TCDA said the pricing decision was made after extensive consultation with stakeholders across the cashew value chain, including farmers, collectors, traders, export businesses, processing facilities, and industry associations. According to the agency, the floor price is based on the current FOB price on the international market, the average 6-month exchange rate of the Bank of Ghana, as well as related operational and legal factors.
