Global Coconut Oil Prices Rise to Record Levels

Last month, the price of coconut oil in the world increased to a peak of $2,483 per ton. This is reported by the PRIME news agency, citing data from the World Bank. This is also 5.4 percent higher than in March, when the exact figures for the product's prices were $2,356 thousand. In February, coconut oil cost $1.99 thousand. Thus, compared to the last winter month, the price in April increased by $493. The reason for the price increase is not specified. PRIME recalled that coconut oil is widely used not only in the food industry but also in other domestic spheres.
