In the first nine months of 2023, the export and import turnover of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products amounted to 68.92 billion USD, a 7.5% decrease compared to the same period last year. Export value reached 38.48 billion USD, while imports were valued at 30.44 billion USD, resulting in a trade surplus of 8.04 billion USD, a 22.5% increase from last year. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development plans to prioritize the development of domestic consumption and export markets, leveraging free trade agreements to promote key agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and support businesses in securing new export orders.
