Goat milk yield increased by almost 73% in Udmurtia, Russia

In Udmurtia, the pace of development of goat breeding has increased. As the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic reported, the advantage is observed by small farms. Goat milk production volumes increased by 72.6% compared to the level of 2020 (+433.2 tons), gross milk yield reached 1029.7 tons. Marketability of goat milk was 74%. The herd has more than tripled (+3335 heads) and today the total number of goats in the republic is 4518 heads. The yield of kids per 100 goats was 75%. This significant growth in the industry was ensured largely due to the launch of a new large-scale production at Ecofarm Dubrovskoye LLC in the Kiyasovsky district.
