REPUBLICA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Yayasan Lembaga Konsumen Indonesia (YLKI) calls on all relevant parties to seriously address the issue of rice prices and stock availability in the market to ensure affordability for consumers. "The polemic over rice is not yet resolved in the field, there are still issues that need to be urgently addressed," said YLKI Chair Niti Emiliana in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday (6/9/2025). Previously, Niti continued, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said rice stocks were abundant. However, he questioned why rice prices in the market were still high and stock shortages occurred.
