The International Grains Council (IGC) has maintained its forecast for global grain production in the 2023/24 season at 2.294 billion tons, with increases in corn and barley harvests offset by cuts in wheat, sorghum, and oats. World consumption decreased by 2 million tons and the projection for end-of-season stocks increased by 4 million tons. The IGC also reduced the production estimate for soybeans in 2023/24 from 398 million tons to 396 million tons, while the consumption projection remained at 388 million tons.
