Greenhouse cucumbers fell to BGN 1.80 in Bulgaria

Greenhouse cucumbers suffered the biggest drop in prices during the week. From just over BGN 2 per kilogram last week, markets reduced the vegetable to an average of BGN 1.70/kg, which is 18.3% down, reports the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT). Zucchini are also descending. This week they reached BGN 1.19/kg, which is 12 cents cheaper compared to the previous one. A decrease, albeit slight (by 4.8%), was also found for potatoes, whose last average price was finally below BGN - 0.99 BGN. Greenhouse tomato prices are moving in the opposite direction, albeit with smaller jumps. This week they rose in price by nearly 7% to BGN 2.33/kg wholesale. Peaches are the cheapest fruit.
