The Gyeongnam Fisheries Resources Research Institute's Shellfish Aquaculture Research Center has developed a technology for mass producing artificial razor clams in just three years, having released 950,000 scallops into the province's waters. The center aims to release additional clams and increase resources through on-site education for fishermen and technology transfer. Since 2021, the center has secured wild razor clams and mother clams, and established technology for mass production of artificial seeds through testing on spawning induction and improving larval survival rates.
