Gyeongnam Province in South Korea is strategically focusing on expanding its fishery product exports to the Chinese market, targeting the vast consumer base of 1.4 billion people. To achieve this, the province has initiated a support project for fishery product companies to establish a presence in China's online malls, particularly Tmall. The project includes customized export consulting, live broadcast advertising, and coupon discount events for 21 selected companies. Since opening the 'Gyeongnam Province Aquatic Products Exclusive Hall' on Tmall last year, the province has exported around $90,000 worth of products. In addition to this online strategy, Gyeongnam Province is also implementing offline marketing, processing plant facility support, and product development projects to reach its goal of exporting $260 million worth of seafood products this year.
