Gyeongsangbuk-do, a province in South Korea, has shipped processed seafood products worth around $250,000 from 13 local fishery companies to the United States through Ulsan USA, a company specializing in importing and exporting these products. This initiative is part of a marketing project aimed at expanding export markets for local fisheries and is a step towards revitalizing the seafood distribution and processing industry in the province. Last year, these 13 companies exported 52 items with a value of $220,000. Ulsan USA, which started in 2006, reported annual sales of KRW 20 billion in the previous year and introduced a revolutionary refrigerated and frozen courier delivery system.
