Harvest increased, Satsuma mandarin found its place in the market

The harvest of Satsuma mandarins has begun in the district of Seferihisar in İzmir. Farmers in Seferihisar, expecting a high yield in this season, state that they are selling the mandarins at 15 lira per kilogram, while the price in the market reaches up to an average of 50 lira per kilogram. With the first light of morning, female workers come to the orchards and spend the day picking the ripe mandarins from the trees.
