Hilton Quota: Least Tariffed Beef Export from Argentina to the European Union Was Distributed

After the registration closure on June 18, the national government published this Wednesday the distribution to refrigeration plants and livestock projects of the 28,805,719 tons of the Hilton quota. It was through Resolution 116/2025, which appears on July 2 in the Official Gazette of the Nation and is signed by Sergio Iraeta, secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fishing. The Hilton Quota is an tariff quota for high-quality deboned chilled beef cuts, which allows the export of up to 29,500 tons of meat without paying tariffs to the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom. It has been in effect since 1979 and includes other countries of the world, but in the current context of the Mercosur summit and negotiations for a trade agreement with the EU, the figures take on greater relevance.
