According to codes.com.ua, the analysis shows that the main reasons for price increases are: economic instability (inflation rate of 15% and increased military tax), reduction of livestock (from 2024 to 2025, the number of cows in Ukraine decreased by 21,700 head, and there are difficulties in evacuating livestock from combat zones), rising operational costs (increased prices for feed, electricity, and fuel leading to the closure of small farms), and logistical problems (the need to find longer and safer logistics routes, which increases transportation costs). The cheapest meat in Ukraine can be found in Kharkiv: chicken fillet – 200 UAH/kg, pork – 260 UAH/kg, beef – 270 UAH/kg. The highest prices are recorded in Kyiv: chicken fillet – from 230 UAH/kg, pork – 380 UAH/kg, beef – 395 UAH/kg. Among large retail chains, Silpo and ATB offer the lowest prices for chicken fillet.
