How much is land expected to increase in price in our country with the introduction of the euro?

The price forecast for the value of arable agricultural land in Bulgaria following the adoption of the euro was presented by Assoc. Prof. Stefan Asenov from the Institute of Agricultural Economics during an online seminar of the National Agricultural Advisory Service. Read the first part of his analysis: The analysis indicates that, under equal other conditions and applying the CAGR method, it is expected that by 2032 the value of land in Bulgaria will reach approximately 13,770 euros/ha (2,693 BGN/decare). A second method, based on the weighted average value of CAGR, forecasts a price of 12,234 euros/ha (2,393 BGN/decare). The expected yield from arable agricultural land for a 7-year period following the adoption of the euro varies between 2,849 and 4,385 euros/ha, representing an increase between 30 and 47%.
