By Regional Ordinance No. 007-2025-GORE-Ica, the Regional Government of Ica established that the Pisco Province Grape Harvest Festival shall be celebrated every third Friday of March. The Grape Harvest Festival in the Ica region is a traditional and customary activity that dates back to the early colonial period, with the first plantings of grapevines in its sunny and fertile valleys. This celebration has ancient roots in the festivals held by the pre-Inca and Inca peoples on the occasion of the maize harvests in this region. The Economic Development Management was also tasked with coordinating with the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (Promperú) to promote and disseminate the Pisco Province Grape Harvest Festival.
