The International Grains Council has increased its global grain production forecast for 2025/26 to 2,375 million tons, a 2.8% increase from the current season. The corn production forecast has also been raised to 1,274 million tons. However, global grain consumption forecast has been reduced by 1 million tons to 2,372 million tons. The world trade forecast has been increased by 4 million tonnes to 428 million tonnes due to increased wheat supplies. The carrying stocks forecast has also been increased by 5 million tonnes to 585 million tonnes.
