At the end of last year, and according to the Grupo Consultor de Mercados Agrícolas (GCMA), in 2022 total imports of pork, beef and poultry meat increased 4%, amounting to 2.5 million tons. This resulted in a 13.8% higher billing compared to the records corresponding to 2021, generating an expense for Mexico of 5,414.3 million dollars, as indicated by the figures of the National Customs Agency of Mexico.
