Despite favorable years in the past, Argentina's participation in world exports of goods and services is projected to hit a historic low of 0.25% in 2023. This severe decline can be attributed in part to the export of primary products being hindered by drought, as well as self-inflicted issues in sales of Manufactures of Agricultural and Industrial Origin. While deregulatory measures may facilitate trade flows and boost productivity, the persistence of export duties, high tariffs, and other constraints could pose challenges for Argentina's competitiveness in the global market.
