In 2023, sour cream production in Russia increased by almost 7%

Over the past year, sour cream production in Russia increased on average by 6.7 percent from 2022 - to 583,500 tons. This was reported by the Milknews analytical center with reference to preliminary data from Rosstat and the National Union of Milk Producers (Soyuzmoloko). In 2016, 592 thousand tons of product were produced. From 2017 to 2019, its production decreased to 559, 526 and 519 thousand. Next year, 530,000 tons of sour cream were produced, and from 2021 to last year the figure increased to 536, 547 and 583 thousand, respectively.
