Preliminary data from Rosstat and the National Union of Milk Producers shows that sour cream production in Russia has risen by 6.7% in 2023, reaching 583,500 tons. Consumption has also seen an increase of 7.3% from 2022, amounting to 563,300 tons. However, there has been a 10% decrease in dairy product stocks in processors' warehouses compared to 2022. The production of all fermented milk products, excluding cottage cheese, has increased by 5.2% to 2.7 million tons.
