The center pointed out: "China is the main importer of Russian oats. From January to October 2025, China imported over 211,000 tons of oats, worth over 47 million US dollars. The volume of oat exports to China increased by 9% year-on-year, and the export value increased by 17%."
Mongolia is the second-largest importer of Russian oats, and the United Arab Emirates is the third.
In October 2025, Russia exported over 67,000 tons of oats, totaling over 15 million US dollars, marking the highest monthly export record in four years. From January to October 2025, Russia's oat exports reached nearly 230,000 tons, with an export value of approximately 51 million US dollars.
On March 18, the Russian Agricultural Products Export Center informed the satellite news agency that according to preliminary statistics, in 2024, Russia exported over 8.3 million tons of agricultural products to China, with a total export value of about 7.4 billion US dollars. Among the agricultural products exported from Russia to China, the largest export by volume is rapeseed oil (13%), followed by barley (10%), and then sunflower oil and peas (each 8%), and soybeans (7%). China became the main importer of Russian agricultural products in 2024, maintaining this position for two consecutive years.
On November 6, the Director of the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center, Ilya Ilyushin, stated that China is the main importer of a series of agricultural products from Russia. Ilyushin pointed out that China is the main importer of Russian grains and leguminous crops, oil products, dairy products, meat, confectionery, food and processed products, fish, and seafood.
