Ukraine's imports of lard, pork fat, and poultry fat decreased by 12.9% from January to August 2023 compared to the same period in the previous year. In monetary terms, the purchases abroad reached $17.6 million, representing an 18.1% decrease. However, in August 2023, Ukraine saw an increase in imports of lard and fat, reaching 2.3 thousand tons for $2.9 million, with Poland, the Netherlands, and Spain being the main suppliers. Additionally, the import of pork decreased by almost five times during the eight-month period.
