The First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Sergei Fedchenko, announced at a forum in Minsk that the country's pork production is expected to increase by 6% and poultry production by 1% compared to 2022. The country plans to build 14 new pig-breeding complexes by 2026 and increase the poultry production to 665 thousand tons by the end of 2023. Additionally, Belarus is focusing on modernizing production facilities and creating a breeding base for poultry farming to reduce dependence on imports and increase milk production per capita.
