In the Donetsk region, 740 hectares of wheat were destroyed this year due to Russian munitions, causing 46 fires in agricultural fields and facilities. Olena Rybakova, Deputy Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Complex and Land Resources, noted the severe impact of hot weather and enemy shelling on fire safety, with the Illinivska community being the most affected. The Donetsk Regional Center for Hydrometeorology frequently reports emergency fire safety conditions, posing a threat to citizens and the environment. Despite these challenges, efforts are ongoing to complete the harvest, although the cultivated area has significantly decreased due to the conflict, with 59% of the territory occupied by enemy forces.
