Russia has seen a 21% increase in sausage exports over the first four months of the year, totaling almost 15,000 tons, with Kazakhstan being the primary market. Other significant importers include Azerbaijan and Abkhazia, with the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola being the leading non-CIS buyers. The resumption of exports to Peru and first-time exports to Ecuador have contributed to this growth. Despite this increase, exports of prepared meat products remain significantly lower than fresh meat. The National Meat Association identifies Asia, the Middle East, and Africa as potential markets for Russian sausages, but advocates for lower import duties on finished products to boost exports.
