The Agro-Industrial Processing Zone Project (PZTA-Sud) in Casamance, Senegal, was launched at the end of 2022 with a total cost of FCFA 140 billion (€213 million) from various sources. The project aims to develop the added value of agricultural products and agro-industry in the region, where 56% of the national mango production and 80% of the national cashew production are located. The project is expected to increase production and improve processing rates significantly.
