According to recently published data from Rosstat, as of October 1, 93.1% of the sown area of grains and legumes had been harvested in the Moscow region. The Moscow region is among the top ten regions in the Central Federal District in terms of the volume of these crops: the region's farmers harvested 588.44 thousand tons, or 2% of the total volume, which is 21.4% more than last year's figure. Agricultural organizations accounted for 91.5% of the harvest (538.43 thousand tons), while peasant (farmer) and individual entrepreneur farms accounted for 8.5% (50.02 thousand tons). The sunflower seed harvest (in initially recorded weight) in Moscow region farms as of the reporting date amounted to 0.59 thousand tons. As of October 1, 8.7% of the sowings had been harvested (threshed). Potatoes in Moscow region farms were harvested from 80.7% of the area, with 379.58 thousand tons collected, 5% more than on the corresponding date in 2024.
