Agricultural enterprises in the Moscow region achieved significant success in poultry farming, selling 15.8 thousand young animals and chickens, 214 thousand hatching eggs, and producing over 31 million quail eggs in the first eleven months of 2022, surpassing the previous year's production. There are two main enterprises in the region, with the leader based in Serpukhov specializing in breeding Japanese quails and producing 97% of the quail eggs in the region. The second enterprise in Sergiev Posad district is a genetic farm breeding various quail breeds and chickens, utilizing the gene pool to create new productive poultry crosses.
