Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that inspections of food products will be intensified before the month of Ramadan. The checks will cover all foods, with a special focus on flour and flour products, bread, pastries and desserts, meat and dairy products, as well as eggs. The Minister emphasized that all enterprises that produce, store, distribute, and sell food will be inspected simultaneously by the provincial and regional directorates. Yumaklı stated, "Markets, bakeries, pastry shops, and mass catering establishments will also be covered by these inspections." He added that during the inspections, conducted jointly with the teams from the Ministry of Trade, hygiene, storage conditions, expiration dates, and product documentation will be thoroughly checked. "The necessary sanctions will be imposed on enterprises that do not comply with the rules," Minister Yumaklı emphasized.
