Since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, 88 flour milling enterprises have resumed operations, and in 2024, 22 enterprises began operations, with 10 more planned for 2025. This was stated by the director of the association "Flour Mills of Ukraine," Rodion Rybchinsky, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine. According to him, as of the end of 2021, there were 678 industrial enterprises operating in the grain processing industry in Ukraine. Due to the war, 192 enterprises have been lost, either remaining in temporarily occupied territories or being completely destroyed or partially damaged. Some enterprises ceased operations due to a lack of raw materials. Rybchinsky noted that starting in 2023, the grain processing industry in Ukraine began to recover due to the grain export problem in 2022.
