Over the past month, dairy products in Ukraine have partially become cheaper. Among the reasons are low demand, an increase in cheese imports, and the suspension of dairy exports to European Union countries. This is reported by analysts from the Milk Producers Association. In August, the price of milk, kefir, sour cream, yogurts, and some types of cheese decreased, but the dynamics varied depending on the packaging and fat content of these products. The most (-9%) reduced in price was Ukrainian-made Gouda cheese with 45% fat content. Its average price is now 563.38 UAH/kg. This is 54.53 UAH less than the previous month, but 114.33 UAH (+25%) more expensive than last year. Another Ukrainian-made cheese that has noticeably become cheaper is 45% fat Mozzarella.
