In Ukraine, prices for early white cabbage are continuing to decline due to seasonal growth in new harvest supply and weak product demand. EastFruit reports. As of today, prices for new harvest white cabbage continue to fall in Ukraine. Currently, it is being sold for 24-32 UAH/kg, which is on average 20% lower than at the end of the last work week. Farmers cite excessive market supply as the main reason for the price reduction. Most farms have already begun mass shipments of early cabbage, which has caused market saturation. Additionally, the situation is influenced by restrained sales rates — wholesale companies and retail networks are purchasing goods in small batches due to the short storage period of cabbage.
