Fishermen stated that the amount of anchovies has been rapidly decreasing in recent weeks, and this has directly reflected on the price tags. Fish market trader Batuhan Ertürk said, "For a long time, citizens have been paying 50-70 lira for anchovies and got used to this level, but this period is over. We have been selling anchovies for 150 lira for a week. The product is decreasing, which means it will run out. We have been selling anchovies for about 3 months, and now we are coming to the end.
