Inacal approves technical standard for roasted or ground coffee beans in Peru

The National Institute of Quality (Inacal), approved a new technical standard that establishes the requirements and test methods that roasted, grain or ground coffee must meet. The objective is to promote its commercialization with quality standards in the main national and international markets. In this sense, the executive president of Inacal, Clara Gálvez Castillo, reported that the “NTP 209.028:2021 COFFEE. Roasted or ground coffee beans. Requirements”, will allow promoting the standardization and application of quality criteria in the value chain of this product.
