Peru: INACAL promotes technical specifications for the marketing of fresh pears

The Ministry of Production, through the National Institute of Quality (Inacal), promotes technical specifications for fresh pears with the purpose of improving their competitiveness and proper marketing in the national and international market. The Peruvian Technical Standard (NTP) for this fruit details technical specifications that producers must comply with, for example, regarding their degree of ripeness, which must be adequate to achieve proper storage, transportation, and handling of this fruit.
