Increases in milk and poultry, declines in vodka and tractors – agricultural products in numbers

The Central Statistical Office (GUS) has presented the scale of industrial production, including agriculture and the broadly understood agri-food sector in 2024. This concerns, among others, food products and machinery. According to GUS data, the value of sold production of producers' own products in 2024 decreased by 4.9% compared to 2023, amounting to 1,703.6 billion PLN. "Compared to the previous year, in 2024, the largest increase in the share of sold production was recorded for the following sections: food products (by 1.2 percentage points) and chemicals and chemical products (by 0.4 percentage points). The largest decrease in share was noted for sections: electrical equipment (by 1.3 percentage points), hard and brown coal (by 0.6 percentage points), motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (by 0.4 percentage points)," GUS lists in its communication.
