India sharply reduced exports of castor oil in the first half of the year

Indian traders are reducing shipments of castor oil to foreign markets in June, according to analysts from the National Association of Vegetable Oil Producers (Solvent Extractors' Association of India, SEA). So, last month, the export of the product amounted to more than 36.3 thousand tons, which is about 22 thousand tons lower than the level of May 2023 and 20.6 thousand tons less than in June 2022. In January this year, according to official SEA data, the sale of Indian castor oil in all directions amounted to 51.5 thousand tons, in February - 47.34 thousand tons, in March - 67.9 thousand tons, in April - 56.2 thousand tons, and in May - 58.15 thousand tons.
